DUBUQUE, Iowa, Oct. 14, 2026 /PRNewswire-糖心Vlog/ -- Flexsteel庐 is introducing SixFlex鈩, the sixth generation of its patented Designed for a softer, more responsive sit, SixFlex鈩 builds on more than 130 years of Flexsteel庐 innovation while maintaining the durable support the brand is known for.
A sofa is part of everyday life. It is where families reconnect, friends gather, movies are watched and quiet afternoons are enjoyed. While fabric and style catch the eye, true comfort comes from what is hidden beneath the cushions.
Flexsteel庐's story began in 1893, when Rolph & Ball Furniture Company started making upholstered furniture with a focus on thoughtful construction and lasting comfort.
In the 1920s, the company introduced the all-riveted in its upholstered furniture. Hidden beneath the cushions, this innovation became key to how Flexsteel庐 seating felt, responded and supported people.
By the 1930s, Flexsteel庐 received its first patent for the and began guaranteeing it for the life of the product, reflecting the belief that furniture for everyday life should be built to last. This innovation became so central to the brand that it inspired the company's new name: Flexsteel Industries, Inc., in the 1950s.
Over the decades, Flexsteel庐 kept advancing comfort and durability, patenting five seat springs from 1934 through 2007.
Today, SixFlex鈩 builds on that tradition as the sixth generation of Blue Steel Spring鈩 technology, bringing more than 130 years of expertise into a new era of comfort.
"SixFlex鈩 is a significant milestone for Flexsteel and the next evolution of our Blue Steel Spring鈩," said David Crimmins, Chief Growth Officer at Flexsteel Industries. "It's been 20 years since we introduced a new generation of our spring, and this launch represents the most extensive consumer research we've ever conducted. Comfort has always been a defining part of the Flexsteel庐 brand, and SixFlex鈩 builds on that reputation by delivering a softer first sit, improved contouring and the lasting support and durability our customers expect."
The difference is immediate: SixFlex鈩 engages faster than previous generations, creating a softer, more forgiving first impression. As you settle in, the spring adapts to your body instead of only supporting it from below.
This enhanced body-hugging feel keeps you comfortable and cradled, while the durable steel support remains. Whether you're stretching out or settling in for conversation, the spring beneath the cushions ensures a welcoming, responsive comfort experience.
The comfort may be softer, but Flexsteel庐's commitment to durability remains unchanged. Extensive testing shows SixFlex鈩 is just as durable as previous generations. SixFlex鈩 delivers on its promise:
Comfort You Feel. Strength That Lasts.鈩
COMFORT BEYOND THE SURFACE
Furniture shapes the feel of a home, and choices often start with visible details like shape, fabric and color. But true satisfaction comes from what isn't visible in a showroom photo.
It's the welcome you feel when you first sit down. The support as you get comfortable. And the way comfort holds up through routines, gatherings and quiet moments over the years.
SixFlex鈩 is the latest evolution in Flexsteel庐's mission to make everyday moments more comfortable. It brings a century of spring innovation into the present, designed for today's comfort expectations without sacrificing quality or durability.
SixFlex鈩 will begin appearing in new Flexsteel庐 seating collections in 2027.
