GROVELAND, Fla., Aug. 27, 2026 /PRNewswire-ÌÇÐÄVlog/ -- Intellisteel Group, LLC has received a third-party verified Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) for its cold-formed steel structural framing, making the product's environmental performance available to design teams working under embodied carbon requirements.
The declaration (No. IS-CFS-1525214), issued June 19, 2026 by program operator Labeling Sustainability and valid through June 19, 2031, was prepared to ISO 14025 and ISO 21930 and independently verified. It is specific to framing manufactured at the company's Groveland, Florida plant and reports 66% total recycled content (46% post-consumer, 20% post-industrial) and cradle-to-gate global warming potential of approximately 1,830 kg COâ‚‚ equivalent per metric ton.
On projects carrying embodied carbon targets, framing without a published declaration is typically assigned a conservative industry-average value or excluded from consideration during design. The Intellisteel EPD gives architects, engineers, and sustainability consultants product- and facility-specific data to model directly in common assessment tools, and gives owners documentation that supports Buy Clean, LEED, and federal procurement requirements. For contractors, it consolidates the framing package into a single verified submittal.

The declaration also documents a product that is non-combustible in accordance with ASTM E136 and recognized under the International Building Code for Type I through IV construction.
Subject to project requirements, the data may support LEED v4 and v4.1 Materials and Resources credits, Buy Clean initiatives, and U.S. General Services Administration low embodied carbon procurement under the Inflation Reduction Act.
